DREAMS OF FLIGHT

ORNITOPTER            

            People dreamed to fly, thousands of years ago, until it became a reality. Leonardo Da Vinci invented a unique flying machine, which was modeled like a bird movement. It was named Ornitopter. This idea turned out to be impossible to achieve, Because the Human muscles do not have the proper power to fly with mechanical wings. But Leonardo da Vinci was a brilliant engineer and inventor, he invented many fabulous and bitter things such as parachute, deltaplane and helicopter.  

LEAP OF FAITH

            In the XI-th century monk from Benedict made wing of cloth and jumped from the Bromley tower. He flew about 185 meters, fell and broke both his legs. It was a bold attempt to understand the mechanism of flight. 

JET-MAN

            In 2008, Swedish adventure lover Yves Rossy, known as ,,Jet-Man”, perfectly flew with retractable wings and 4 jet engines strapped to his back.
